SO last, but by no means least is the rather stunning Zoya Gwin, from the Spring collection. Of the three polishes that I was sent my immediate reaction was that this wasn’t going to be one for me – I was immediately drawn to Adina, but this one I wasn’t sure about. Orange shades just aren’t the colour group I am ever drawn to, as I don’t think it suits me. Corals, sure. Red, sometimes. Pink, yep – like them. But oranges, nope.
But I soldiered on and tried it out anyway and surprise, surprise – it’s actually rather nice. It is a very bright colour – warm orange with a duo-chrome golden yellow sheen. I think it’s the warm gold undertones that really make this work for me.
Because it is a bright shade I think this is another one that would be best saved for summer or for a pedicure colour. But again, that’s just me – if you are a lover of brights – or you have more tanned skin than me then this could be for you.
The pigmentation of this polish was the most impressive of all of the Zoya shades I have tested this week – the picture above is just one colour over a base coat. It was really amazing – I actually went ‘oooh’ when I painted it on for the first time.
What do you think of orange polish in general? What about Zoya Gwin – gorgeous or not?
Which is your favorite polish included in nail week??
