Heena Beauty: £5 threading in W1

When I was working in West London, I blogged about how I had found a great little salon that only charged £4 for eyebrow threading. When looking around central London it seemed very rare to find anywhere charging less than £12-15ish.

So when I stumbled across this little place I was pretty happy. I had resorted to plucking my eyebrows for the last couple of months but the results are nowhere near as good as threading. It was just working out to be too expensive to maintain on the Central London prices.

But tucked upstairs in the Plaza Shopping Centre on Oxford Street is Heena Beauty, who specialise in eyebrow threading and charge only £5.

The place is basic, a row of chairs in front of a mirror and usually very quiet – which doesn’t really instil confidence but I took the plunge and went for it. I was happy with the results, I didn’t have to make an appointment so I could just pop in on a lunch break. Very convenient.

My only concern is that due to it’s tucked away location (if you go into the Uniqlo store in the centre and exit through the upper floor, you will find it just across the walkway) it might not get enough custom to stay in business in the central location, whilst charging such low prices!

I hope for their sake that it does stay open (and for the sake of my eyebrows) so I will keep going there and may even try out their waxing services. If you try it, let me know what you think?

So thankful you posted about this!

I go to uni on Oxford Street so this will be so convenient for me. I hate having to go all the way to East London just to get my eyebrows done at a cheap place.

Ooh I know where this is having spent many a time outside all the Uniqlo shops on Oxford st whilst OH tries on clothes. I remember Mizzworthy doing a post about Superdrug doing eyebrow threading for £5 with a loyalty card. I like threading but lately have found that I have let the brows grow a little – less aging someone said and am grateful for any tips! Thankyou for this – beats Blink Brow bar at £17 odd. Jan x

wow thats defo a great post for central londoners. You can’t find such low prices for central london ever! i jus got mine done today for the same price in east london so thats really good!
In all honesty though, I’ve seen eyebrows being done for no more than £2.50 in heavily asian populated prices, like southall or other parts of east london, so look out when your around those areas!

Thanks for the heads up – great value for money and they didn’t mess up! Echo your concerns about the viability of their business as there was no one there on a Saturday afternoon and the lady in charge seemed fairly despondent about their prospects.

    But they accept only cash.
prices are £5 for eyeblow, £3 for upper lips & £3 forehead

Wow thanks for this! Had only ever had my eyebrows threaded once, partly because it just doesn’t seem worth paying £15 in London… Woke up this morning and decided it was time to go for it. A quick google and I found your post. Just got back from Heena and they did a great job. Am now trawling your site for other tit bits.

Your post is an absolute blessing! When one is aware of the cheap prices in the outskirts of Central London, it really pinches to pay a ridiculous amount to get my eyebrows threaded. Hope the place stays open.

    Thanks a ton!

This is such a great place to go for eye brow threading! Moving out of London soon and going to miss it :(

I have been there a few times, cheap but they do an ok job.

it’s a bit ‘rough n ready’. They have a lovely premises and have great potential but their customer service really does let them down.

The staff just hold conversations between themselves in their own language while threading their clients without interacting with the customers atall, even when they call you over they dont really ask what you want they just go ahead and do their thing. If they had a bit of customer service skills they could really be alot more sucessful!

Totally agree, definitely not perfect – but for a practical beauty service like threading I don’t mind too much!

Thanks for this! I needed to see something to prove that the prices weren’t too good to be true. Definitely heading there on my lunch break tomorrow (just hoping no one pays attention to the redness in the office, haha!) xxxx
