Perk me up purchases…from 17

September 15, 2011
Sometimes you just need a little pick-me-up to get you through the work week. This week I set out in search of the 17 All About Nude Summer Palette that was free when you purchase two items. Well worth it in my opinion.

I saw was, because I don’t think the palette is in store anymore (sorry!) but it it online.

I love the colour combinations in this palette – a pinky/gold eyeshadow, plus a golden bronze. For a day to night look. I actually quite like the pinky eyeshadow as a blusher. Then a rosey cream blush and a lippie (which is a palette version of 17 Mirror Shine Lipstick in Belle).

It’s an easy combination for on the go touch ups. Plus it has a nicely sized mirror.

The two items I bought to get the palette are the single eyeshadow in Rose Quartz, which I have owned before but broken. But it’s a lovely muted, metallic pink shade so was worth a re-purchase.

I also picked up Lasting Finish nail polish in Amaretto, a deep shimmering red. I haven’t used this one yet but will do a NOTD when I do. It’s a lovely rich colour that I look forward to wearing for Autumn/Winter.

Not bad for a little lunchtime pick-me-up, around £6 for the whole lot! What was your last lunchtime pick-me-up?

Bought by me.

I love the 17 eyeshadows. It’s a pity they’re not sold in Austria!

The rose quartz eyeshadow is really nice – I wouldn’t usually give 17 a look (snob!) but I will now :) My last lunchtime pick-me-up wasn’t beauty related but was a pair of boots from primark – double the price of your mini haul at a total of £12!X

these eyeshadows would look fabulous with some semi permanent eyelash extensions.
