Bit of a random food post for you today!
A rainy Saturday calls for comfort food. So this Saturday the boyfriend and I headed to newly opened Bill’s in Angel. Bill’s originated in Lewes and now has a few branches around the country, it’s basically a cross between a country store and a restaurant. It’s also well known for it’s breakfasts – so off we went to give it a go.
In Angel, there are already a few little breakfast places (The Breakfast Club being the most ‘infamous’) but as good as TBC is, I resent waiting in the street for 40mins for a table… so I’m more than happy to find an alternative for an indulgent weekend breakfast!

As soon as we walked through the door, I knew I was going to be a big fan of Bill’s – the atmosphere was great. Fun, and relaxed and totally not pretentious. There was nice music playing and the whole place felt colourful and lively, but not in your face.
The breakfast menu was a total winner for me (see pic below) I went for scrambled eggs and bacon (with mushrooms on the side), and the boyfriend went for the Bill’s Breakfast. Both arrived really gorgeously presented and looked delicious before I even took a bite.

The food was really good, I enjoyed every bite! The boy was a little fussy and said the white bread was a bit on the soggy side, but overall – seriously tasty. I also had a ‘Bill’s juice’ with mine, which was raspberry, peach and *I think* mango… not 100% on what the fruit was in it, but it was amazingly tasty. I almost wished I had a hangover so it could have kicked in in that way somehow…if that makes sense?!
Overall, I’d totally recommend that if you’re in the N1 area for breakfast then check out Bill’s – it’s not far from Angel tube station and is much quieter than other places, but the food is just as good, if not better!
Hope you enjoyed this random little London food update!
