There’s just something quite special about Jo Malone London fragrances, they manage to be both classic and unusual at the same time – and I think they’re just lovely.
This is one of the latest new additions to the range – Blackberry and Bay Cologne and has been my daily fragrance for the past week or so. I’m being so fickle with fragrance at the moment, changing almost weekly!
As usual, the packaging is just gorgeous. I can’t help but keep the boxes after I have taken the product out, they’re just so pretty. But anyway, back to the fragrance…
It’s described as ‘the scent of innocence’ by the brand, and from the images from the ads (a cute little school boy and older girl – guessing meant to be sister – with amazing strawberry blonde hair, very English countryside, picking blackberries), I can see what they’re getting at. On first sniff it packs a bit of a punch, it’s quite a heady citrus scent – but the best bit of this fragrance is when it dries down and settles on skin. Obviously this will be a little different for different people, but I love the combination of something warm and cosy but also a little fresh and light at the same time. It’s the perfect Summer-Autumn fragrance.
On another note, I love this smaller size (30ml), handbag-friendly bottle. It’s perfect for toting around without being too bulky (and also good for someone like me who’s changing favourite fragrance so often, rather than having a big bottle!)
As always, recommend you check these out in person as scent is such a subjective thing. But for me, love this.
Jo Malone London Blackberry & Bay Cologne is available now from JoMalone.co.uk starting at £38 for the Cologne (there’s also candles and body products too)
