NARS Liberte blusher
Apologies for the slightly grubby looking packaging here… it’s one of the downsides to NARS packaging, it might be gorgeous, but when it’s been used it gets dirty quickly. This blush is actually one from their Summer collection earlier in the year, but it’s recently become my go-to for a healthy winter flush of colour. As the title subtly gives away… this is Liberte blusher.
It looks bright in the pan, and like most NARS blushes is very pigmented, so easy to go overboard on. But a little dab with a blusher brush and this bright terracotta red shade delivers a really pretty healthy glow.
It is a matte colour, but not toally flat matte and can be blended if you want a softer look – as I said, it is a colour that it’s easy to go overboard on and can look a little clown-cheek if you do (I’ve been there). But once you have the hang of how pigmented it is, the colour is really lovely and absolutely perfect for Autumn.
I can see this shade working well across all skin tones – dark and light, for a gorgeous pop of colour for darker shades and a gentle flush for the pale ones of us out there (on that subject, I realised how unhealthy pale I am so am back on the old fake-tan bandwagon…just toned down for winter – more on that soon).
What do you think of NARS Liberte blusher? Bright and lovely… or a bit scary??
