Sleeping Beauty: Part 1

I’ll be honest with you, as much as I adore beauty… at the end of the day, I’m pretty darn lazy. Sure, I’m motivated in many areas of life – but when it comes to beauty the ultimate product for me is one that I have to do very little with and delivers results. Best example of this? A product I can slap on, then go to sleep – and wake up with peachy, soft, plumped-up feeling skin. Sounds too good to be true? Yep – that’s what I thought, but the recent burst of overnight masks has meant my lazy beauty dream is now a reality!
Overnight face masks

My current three beauty sleep mask favourites are:
Dr.Jart+ Water-Max Sleeping Mask: The lightest feeling of all three masks. Almost as light as a serum, my skin absolutely drinks this up. I do find I want to apply quite a lot of this one to get the full impact. But even when it feels really light – I wake up with my skin feeling totally hydrated.
Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask: This is the thickest of the three and doesn’t need as much. A grape sized amount perfectly covers the whole face and neck and absorbs fairly quickly – this is the one that feels the most ‘mask’ like of the three. Oh, and it smells freaking amazing. Seriously, good enough to eat.
Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask: This is the latest addition to my sleeping beauty routine and is basically the overnight version of one of my all time favourite moisturisers – Moisture Surge (or Moisture Surge Intense) and feels exactly like the moisturiser but that little bit more intense. This one feels fresh to apply and really packs an amazing moisture punch. If you like the existing Moisture Surge range you will love this (it’s not out on counter just yet, but will be available from Jan 1st)
Whilst the premise of these three products is very similar, the texture and results are really different – but the best part is, you can find the one you like, slap it on, and catch yourself some Zzz’s. Waking up with generally fabulous feeling skin!
