Berry of the ball…

I had a little bit of a Cinderella moment recently and went to a ball…it was a very glamorous affair in the Landmark Hotel in London. It was a black tie dress code…which to be totally honest does throw me off a little as some people say it means full length for women, others say it could mean cocktail dress… who knows.

I decided to go for a dress I bought from an Oasis Concession in Debenhams. Since I am loving all things berry coloured at the moment – so along with the berry/burgundy/ox blood coloured dress (whatever you like to call it) I went for a berry nail colour (Vixen by Revlon) and one of the Revlon Lip Butters in a berry shade too.

Here’s a little peek at the *one or two* (ahem) products that I used the get ready for the ball. It was one of those rare days where I had as long as I wanted to get ready, so I really took my time! You might notice there are two tanners in there – I went for the double layer tan, so it was darker on the arms as these would be out, but still had colour all over…

I also wore the shoes I mentioned in a previous post too – they’re patent black heels with a hidden platform so they feel far less high than they look and stayed comfortable all night. Even when I was shaking away on the dance floor a few feet away from Chris Eubank… who by the way, is a very snazzy dancer.
I have to say I absolutely adore this dress – it feels the perfect balance between dressy/girly/flattering and I really do love the colour. See, loving all things berry at the moment!
Make-up wise I went for products with staying power and those that give me a bit of a glow – I kept the make-up very simple, just going for a flawless looking base and black eye liner with a touch of subtle colour on the lips with the Lip Butters.

This is such a beautiful dress, I love the colour of it. I noticed you used OPI nail envy. This is one of my favourite nail products. It has stengthen my nails so much.
