Aveda A/W12 Passion Flower Collection
I’m a bad blogger – I went to the launch of this Aveda make-up collection months ago, totally thought I posted on it – and just found my images in a draft folder rather than posted as they should be. But better late than never, we can take a look at the collection, looks and the pretty looking goodies!
The collection is everything you don’t expect from a brand that is all about natural products – it’s packed with colour and impact and absolutely gorgeous. But with a nice selection of easy to wear products too.
The lipsticks are the stand outs for me – with everything covering from deep berry red, to baby pink or a pearly neutral lip gloss. The deeper shades are quite sheer, but buildable – so you can get a stain look or a darker pout.
For eye shadows there’s the bright blue that’s the star of the show – then a berry purple plus some classic golden and brown neutrals. The blue shadow can be seen on the model – not a sheer, un pigmented one at all – it really has a pop. Can go for a dramatic look like the dark haired model – replacing typical black smokey eye with the blue.
My only bug bear with the Aveda products is the packaging – you have to buy the outer packaging separately. They’re not expensive by any means – but it does add another little process to getting your prettiness kept safe. There is one compact that fits a lipstick plus a selection of single shadows or a blusher.
