New season means the perfect time to change up the fragrance wardrobe… my recent love has been Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber (with a spritz of Molecule 01). But I feel like it might be nice to mix things up and try something new…and what better way to do so than with a bit of Stella McCartney…

Now, I am very lucky to have my very own monogramed version of of the latest addition to the Stella McCartney L.I.L.Y family….with L.I.L.Y Absolute.

The bottle is just stunning – I adore the crystal middle with the metal outside – making it the perfect combo of feminine and masculine, which is also reflected in the fragrance.

This is a rich floral – and Absolute is a more intense version of the orginal L.I.L.Y – this one has new notes of ambroz and dry woods to give it a darker side.

The note break down is as follows…

Top Notes: Infusion of Black Truffle, Black Pepper Essence
Heart Notes: Fresh Lily of the Valley, Pink Pepper, Amber
Base Notes: Oak Moss, Patchouli Essence, Ambrox, Dry Woods

I love pepper and moss notes in fragrance and I love how these combined with such intense florals really balance things out. On first sniff it feels very intense floral but the dry down definitely has a more masculine, powdery side to it that I love…

I may just have found my new Spring fragrance!
