New Look: A Beauty Junkie in London

A few may have very well cottoned on to this already, but as alluded to a few times over past days/weeks/months… A beauty junkie in London has had a little bit of a facelift. This new look is down to the fab Pipdig who helpfully made some customisations to an existing template of theirs, to make it what I was looking for.

The aim of the new look was to do a few things – make it mobile friendly was number one priority. So if you’re reading on a tablet or mobile, please let me know how you’re finding it. Hopefully MUCH easier than before. Then I wanted to streamline it a bit, taking it back to the traditional blog structure so you can always easily read the latest. Plus I wanted to narrow down the categories – whilst there’s still a whole host of stuff to read on the blog, I wanted it to feel a bit neater. So I’ve now narrowed the main topics down to: Beauty (obvs), London and Lifestyle. You can see from the drop down menus at the top that under each of these you can now look at blogs by different sub categories…so I’ll still be blogging about home/food/travel/fashion etc as and when I feel like it or have something interesting to talk about. But generally, it just keeps things a bit more streamlined and easy to navigate.

Along the top of the blog is a ‘popular posts’ section, which is based on recent posts and views (last seven days) so hopefully that will be a good way to catch your eye with some interesting stuff.

Having said that, I still need to sort all the categories so please bare with me if some past posts are falling into wrong sections at the moment as it’s a bit of a long winded process to do this. But hopefully overall will make things that bit easier to read! As always, any comments or feedback more than welcome. But I do hope you like the new look as hoping it keeps things simple so you can focus on reading my various musings (and looking at pretty pictures!). I will also be looking to update my blog header soonish too, so a few more tweaks and changes to come. But right now, am delighted with my new look blog.

Also, a big THANK YOU to Phil at Pipdig – amazing to work with, so helpful and flexible. Really happy I made the choice to go with their semi-custom service as delighted from start to finish. Can’t recommend them enough if you’re looking for an affordable redesign option.

Love the new touches. I do read a lot of my favourite blogs on the go so being tablet friendly is important to me.
