If you haven’t heard of the brand Nude By Nature before, then this probably means you’re not Australian, because over on the other side of the world this is the number one mineral make-up brand and has won awards for it’s no-nasty products. If you like your make-up with that ‘like you but at your glowing best’ feel to it, then this is brand you’re going to want to know more about. One, it’s an instagram dream with it’s rose-gold packaging and sleek design. But much deeper than pretty packaging – the products all contain native Australian ingredients that are cruelty free.

I really think that ingredients and what products really contain will be such a hot topic for 2017. With such a wealth of products available, consumers and beauty addicts will be looking for things that set brands apart and I think a lot of this will come from the details of ingredients, where they’re sourced and how. People don’t just want products that look pretty (although of course this is so important) they want them to be ethical, effective AND beautiful all at the same time. Which pretty much ticks all the boxes for the Nude By Nature philosophy – a brand that wants to deliver benefits that go well beyond the cosmetic.
For me, I’ve always preferred the overall natural look and feel to my make-up. I don’t want to look or feel like I’m caked in foundation. I want to look like the best version of myself, so natural feeling brands or sheer foundations, generally lighter-coverage bases. I’d rather let a flaw show through than feel like I am wearing a heavy mask of make-up. Pretty much going against every other beauty and make-up trend out there at the moment.
I suspect that if you’re a regular reader of this blog, you are probably of a similar persuasion when it comes to make-up and beauty as I do tend to share things that are of my own taste. Which I am hoping means that this brand will definitely be one that has you interested! There’s a whole host of products from them, but as we’re in that last moment pre-Christmas phase I wanted to share a couple of their beautiful Christmas Gift Sets.
Housed in a gorgeous subtle blush tin. This gift set combines a few classics from the brand. The Luminous Sheer Liquid Foundation (available in different shades), Translucent Finishing Powder and Liquid Foundation Brush. A trio of essentials to get that beautiful glow. I gave the foundation a try to see what it’s like texture wise (because the shade was a bit too dark for me) but it’s SO light and glowy. It really does sheer out imperfections and give a glow, without being too heavy or over done. Then the translucent powder is ideal to set and finish and make sure the glow stays just where you want it. This makes a perfect little self-gift too as you can make sure you select exactly the right foundation shade for you!
A beautiful present (or self-gift) if – like me – you’re of the belief that there’s no such thing as having too many make-up brushes. These are gorgeous too. With creamy handles and rose-gold metal details. The brush selection contains a bit of everything from brows, to eyes, to contour and finishing. Personal favourites are the duo-fibre brush and the flat-topped buffer brush. The double-ended brush is great too as there’s the mascara-wand-like end and a firm end for filling brows out.
I’m really looking forward to trying more from Nude By Nature in 2017, as the ingredients side of the brand really interests me and I want to be more active in finding out what is in the things I’m putting on my body and face. It’s so easy to be complacent about this, it’s something I want to do a bit more digging on before I just take products at face value!
WIN a trip to Australia with Nude By Nature
OH and as if the gorgeous gift sets weren’t enough! There’s also something VERY exciting! How do you fancy a little adventure down under?! Well, Nude By Nature are also running a wonderful competition so you can experience Australia for yourself! ALL you need to do to enter is share a post (image or video) on Instagram celebrating a moment that captures ‘where life has taken you’ this holiday season – using the hashtags #wanderlustbynature #mebynature – the most creative photo/video and caption will win a trip for two to Oz! The details of the competition can also be found on a pretty postcard in each gift set too.
I’d really love to know your thoughts on Nude By Nature – is it a brand you have tried yet? If not, is this something that’s catching your eye now to try in the New Year? What are your views on the ingredients side of things.
