I know there are a lot of people out there that love the Barry M Speedy range of polishes – I wanted to love them first time around, but just didn’t quite get along with them. I just found they didn’t apply all that smooth or dry all that quickly. So it meant the Jelly polishes remained my firm favourites from the brand. But, having said that there are these new shades from the Barry M Speedy Spring 2016 collection and they’re rather lovely.

Four shades, all sitting firming in the pinky nude-ish family, we have (from left to right above): Winning Streak, Freestyle, Personal Best and In A Flash.
Winning Streak is a creamy beige nude.
Freestyle is a rosy pink.
Personal Best is a sort of smokey purple cream.
In A Flash is a pinky-peach nude.

As you would most likely expect, the two more nude shades are the more sheer of the bunch and ideally need 2-3 coats to get a full covered finish. Where Freestyle and Personal Best are all good at just the two coats. I was actually really impressed at how these all applied, having not had the best experience first time around these were much easier to use and they definitely didn’t lack in pigment or shine with the quick drying effect. Of the four Barry M Speedy Spring 2016 shades my favourite is easily Personal Best – just my sort of colour and the sort of shade I was obsessed with back when in the early days of blogging in 2009/10…. Metro Chic anyone!?
Also, in case you’re wondering – I have given the shade Personal Best a try on my nails today (wearing it as I type) and it applies just as well and did dry fairly quickly. Although it did take a whole lot of self control not to want to apply my trusty Seche Vite top coat over it. I’ll share a snap of this over on Instagram if you’re interested then head over there (you can find me: 📷 instagram.com/beautyjunkieldn)

I really love the colours. I don’t like my hands so steer away from bright colours or anything that would focus too much on them. I tend to choose colours like the ones above so my claws look a little polished! 😉

I bought Personal Best when I was in the UK and I love it! Perfect shade and it really does dry very quickly. 🙂
I have and love Winning Streak but now I have my eye on Freestyle and Personal Best – they’re just gorgeous! I love this line, though I wonder when Barry M will run out of race car-themed names? Haha xx

These shades are all so gorgeous! I wish Barry M was easier to get a hold of in the States. I always see people posting about them!

Love this collection =]
I love Barry M shades but whenever I’ve bought a speedy quick dry product I’ve found I’ve had to build up loads of layers to get a bright colour, but these colours are so pretty I might have to convert back to Barry M.
I’ve never been totally won over by the speedy ones. But the gelly ones are beautiful!
