If you watched my Feb Faves video then you probably heard me mention that my nails are in a bit of a state right now. Back in January I decided I wanted those long almond shape nails and rather than be sensible and try to grow/shape them I went for the quick option of heading to the salon to get acrylic nails put on instead. They looked great, but I couldn’t stand the feeling of them. So a little over a week later I removed them. That, combined with the fact I have cut down on dairy in my diet has had an impact on the health of my nails… so I’m in full TLC mode when these arrived for me to try out. These are a couple of the new Butter London Nail Tinted Moisturiser shades. Or Butter London Sheer Wisdom Nail Tinted Moisturiser to give them their full name.

There are six skin tone line shades in the range available – and the three here are just examples. The product itself is designed to be more than just a skin tone flattering nail shade. Each bottle also contains ingredients that are designed to help nails repair, add moisture and generally improve nail health over time. Much like a tinted moisturiser for the skin.

The six shades range from the palest ‘fair’ (cool porcelain) to deep (sheer chocolate). The three shades here are Light, Medium and Deep. So not a bad cross section of the shades on offer.

Of course for my skin Light or Fair would probably be the most suitable. I find Light is a good match at the moment so have been using this to try and make my nails a little more presentable whilst I also want to give them the break from polish to get back stronger again.

I think this is a really clever idea, and love anything which is a bit multi-purpose. I’d love to see more polish shades come out with added skincare benefits rather than just pure colour. Seems to make sense that products just get more and more multi-purpose with added benefits.

But so far, this one is going down very well on my poorly nails! Making them at least look a little healthier than they feel!
