Fabled Beauty Tottenham Court Road

So whilst we’re all still wondering if the Sephora store opening rumours are true a pretty ace beauty space has popped up right under our noses. Fabled Beauty is a new store on Tottenham Court (and of course online if you’re not in London) which I recently went to visit and was pretty blown away. I wasn’t expecting it to be the size it was or have the vast range of brands.

The store is just up Tottenham Court Road from the station and is a big space (it’s next to the Oasis store that opened there fairly recently). It’s a beauty concept created by Marie Claire and has a lot of Sephora-like features. With counters for each brand, but then in the middle of the store there are tables with iPads and edits around trends. So you can get some inspiration as well as pick up your favourites. The store downstairs is mostly make-up and fragrance. Then upstairs there’s skincare and haircare and a small male area.

If you love beauty then it’s definitely a place to stop by and have a browse. The areas that most impressed me were the fragrances – a huge range of brands, including my current fragrance favourite, the Maison Margiela Replica range that I have a bit of an obsession with.

The beauty bits I wanted to show here are a bit of a mix of a couple I picked out when I visited the store when they had a recent shopping event (20% off everything in store!) and a few that were sent as an intro to the Fabled Beauty brand. So I thought I’d pull them all together to give you a peek at the range of beauty bits you can get in store or order online. As a little showcase of the pieces I chose and some of the other brands available.

So my picks – the first thing I picked on the shopping evening was a no-brainer for me. I’ve mentioned my obsession with Maison Margiela Replica fragrances before (THIS post) and the one I had been thinking about ever since I first tried it in the Summer in New York was the Funfair Evening one. A fragrance I can’t quite put my finger on describing but has a sort of sweet but musky scent that I am 100% in love with. Then I couldn’t resist a little treat from the Chanel counter. Afterall, how often do you get the chance to buy Chanel at 20% off… I picked up one of the new Rouge Allure Ink shades in 148 Libere. An orange-red toned matte liquid lip stain. I was won over by the pretty matte packaging. These are obviously really popular too as they only had two shades in store.

Then for the other bits. A mixture of newer and well known brands show a good spectrum of the brands you can find in the store and online. Starting with the well-known. Hugo Boss The Scent For Her*, a fragrance I’ve already written about HERE but a great one to choose if you’re looking for a lovely present for someone. Boss is such a good go-to brand for fragrance gifting in my opinion.

Then theres the lesser known brands. Prismologie – a brand that orginally launched into Space NK last year and is becoming more widely available. A really interesting concept between colour, fragrance and ingredients. The Pink O’Clock Body Balm* is probably one of the most luxe feeling products in the range. A gorgeous balm that leaves a pretty sheen to the skin and a lovely soft scent. Personally I love the Oud and Vetiver ranges as they both smell incredible. The Oud candle is a dream.

Sachajuan Hair Oil* – a brand that nails the whole ‘gorgeously plain’ packaging approach. This hair oil is a lovely indulgence for dry hair. I have a mixed relationship with hair oils as my hair is dry but also very fine so sometimes have to be careful or else they’re just too heavy. This one in its glass bottle feels so luxury and indulgent I want to use it regardless of it being heavy for my hair though! Then last but no means least a pretty deep blue eye pencil from Glo & Ray*. If you haven’t tried Glo & Ray then I recommend it. Really high quality products. Their blushers are really gorgeous – so silky smooth.

I hope this is a handy little over view of the new Fabled Beauty Store – definitely stop by and have a peek if you’re braving Oxford Street in the run up to Christmas… BRAVE being the word. It is a nice beauty haven away from the madness!
