The sea salt hair spray you need to try – O&M Surf Bomb

Haircare has been a bit of a theme for me lately – I’ve been making more effort to do something with my hair day to day, but in a way that suits my style. Which is simple but effective – trying to get a style that’s easy and low maintenance but also looks like I’ve made an effort rather than just rolled out of bed and gone with it. Sea Salt spray has become my Summer hair styling BFF – but it’s taken me a LONG time to find one that really works. I’ve tried many a texturising product/sea salt spray in my time and generally when it comes to sea salt sprays they have either done next to nothing OR they have left my hair crispy and dry feeling and basically just felt like it’s in need of wash. Which to be fair is pretty much how actual sea-water makes it feel, so in that sense they work… but now quite the California-girl beach wave I’ve been looking for. Until I tried O&M Sea Salt Spray that is.

O&M Sea Salt Spray has managed to change that for me and has fast become a daily staple. Well, by daily I mean every day that I wash my hair. Why is it so good?

Well simply, it adds texture – doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it go crispy. Plus it smells amazing. Not just of generic holiday/coconuts – just a gorgeous fresh Summer smell that’s fresh but not too cliche. It gives volume and texture in a way that looks natural and not in a way that looks frazzled and in need of a wash/cut/ I do tend to add a spritz of Kerastase Elixir Ultime on the ends to give them a little extra silkiness.

Best part about it is that I like it just as much if I blow dry my hair as I do if I let is air dry. I tend to opt for air drying as much as possible in Summer, which normally means limp hair but with this I’m quite happy with how my hair naturally dries – not too flat. Winning.

Ok, so I might not be quite there with the whole ‘California girl’ look (thanks skin that refuses to tan ever and non-Barbie body…) but at least my hair has got a bit of a beachy, low-maintenance feel to it.

I’m obsessed with sea salt sprays at the moment and this sounds like another fab one! I’ve been using Sachajuan for a while and love it, I’m now also trying the John Masters Organics one but this needs to make it’s way into my collection!
